London took her first ballet/jazz class over the school year. She loved it! Her cousin Talia was also in the class so it was fun for the two of them to do it together. They preformed their recital as the school year wrapped up the last week of May. I could just die at how cute London is in these pictures. She smiled the whole time and just really enjoyed herself. She is so beautiful! I absolutely love these pictures and couldn't just choose a few. The first dance was her ballet dance to "A Dream is a Wish" from Cinderella. Just darling!
Ok, so maybe she didn't smile the whole time. This pout was part of the dance.
The second dance was the jazz number. I didn't know the song, but it was lots of fun. Another group's jazz dance started off with the lyrics, "Come on girls...shake your tail feathers." That is a common phrase around our house now these days...
London and Talia danced by each other in both numbers. When Steve found out London had a recital at the end of her class he got a big smile on his face and started laughing. He said, "this is going to be hilarious." It really was. Later he commented to a co-worker about the recital being "organized chaos in motion." So true. We are so proud of her for being a great dance student and smiley performer.
Grandma and Grandpa Baker came to see Talia and London, and here is London showing off her goofy side as she poses for a picture with them. She just loves her grandparents.
Miss Maddie was a great spectator, thanks to grandma and grandpa shoving cheerios in her mouth pretty much the whole time. And below is one last shot of the cute dancers. We meant to be good parents and get London some flowers for her performance like Talia's did. We stopped at Costco afterward and said she could pick some out. She said she would rather have a berry smoothie instead. Deal!
We moved the middle of May. It's been crazy and that's why I'm so behind with blogging, but wanted to throw these pictures in too because they go with London dancing. The first week of summer break our cute new neighbor put on a week dance camp for the little girls in the ward/area. London had a blast learning a new dance to "I Want Something that I Want." from the Tangled soundtrack. Which by the way is now our family's favorite song of the summer. And yes, Steve knows every word and loudly sings as we drive on our way. This dance camp was also a great way for London to meet the cute girls in our new ward. Yay for dance! And yay for London. I absolutely love being her mom. She is such a joy!
