Steve's Races and Rides

Lehi Round-up 10K, June 25. Steve wanted to run the AF Canyon Half-Marathon this day, but because of a lot of traveling for work he was unable to get that kind of training in in time. He signed up for this Lehi 10K while he was in Japan earlier in the week, and did an awesome job with a time of 50:26. He placed 37 out of 155. For some reason the girls and I can't quite make it to his races before he finishes, but we enjoyed the after race treats with him when we did get there. Steve is the loan racer in the family this summer, and going to his races makes me want to get back into it. I love the energy and excitement, I miss it! Next year.

American Fork Steel Days 5K, July 9. No picture of this race because I didn't bother to get out of bed on this one. But Steve ran his best race yet with a time of 22:38, placing 49 out of 309. He ran with a speedy couple from our ward, the Lowry's. He said it was all he could do to keep up with them, and it paid off. Good job honey!

Tour de Donut, July 16. Steve and his dad rode the race together this year. They rode 7 miles, ate donuts, rode 7 miles, ate donuts, and rode 7 miles again. For each donut they ate 3 minutes were subtracted off their time. Steve ate 5 donuts. Dad ate 2.

Brooklyn's favorite part of the race was re-arranging the cones.
London's favorite part were the donuts. Again we were late to the race and missed out on the donuts, so we went and got our own on the way home.

Steve has been working with a personal trainer at work with a strict diet and work-out schedule. He has really slimmed down and gained some good muscle, just as my belly has gotten bigger and bigger by the minute! He's a little hottie this summer!

That is so awesome! Great job, Steve!
