Newport Beach was our final destination, but first we stopped in Vegas for Michael's Eagle Court of Honor. Mom and Dad put on a patriotic program, and it was a nice evening to honor Michael.
Dad played the songs on his guitar, and we sang ALL of the verses to This Land is Your Land, and America the Beautiful.
Then we played on the trampoline. These girls love to bounce! Later Steve got on with them and the girls couldn't stop giggling with him bouncing them. It was hilarious.
Jeff, Kiley, and Matt.
The next morning we woke bright and early and headed for Yucaipa, California, home of Matthew and Julie Good (Steve's sister). And yes, we are all wearing the same clothes we had on the day before. It was just easier that way. On the way we stopped in Barstow and ate breakfast at the McDonald's train station. I had to snap a picture of my little girls eating where I ate as a little girl many times on our way to California.
Matthew and Julie were the perfect hosts and we had so much fun with them. We ate and played at the park the first night we got there, then went and had treats at Dairy Queen. It was fun to have our little girls play together and get to know each other better. We don't get to see them very often, so this was a special time to spend together.
London, Brooklyn, Bridget, and Whitney.
The next day we went to church with them, took naps, had a delicious dinner in their beautiful home, then we set off for Newport Beach.
