February 2015

I hosted a tea party for my week of teaching preschool this month.  The kids had a pretend tea party with stuffed animals and plastic food.  This was great and all, but the real tea party with real food was much more satisfying.  Madi loves these preschool pals, and it's so fun to get them all together on Tuesdays.

Madison wanted a picture with the snowmen she made out of sausages.  Since I have been pregnant, this is a typical breakfast for us.  The protein from the eggs and sausage are so satisfying to me.
19 weeks pregnant
Our pre-Valentine's lunch with Steve.  Lucky Madi gets to join us on fun outings like this while the girls are at school.  And we love her to come along.  She is so pleasant to be with.
Heart pancakes for our Valentine Breakfast.

We started the tradition of a family fancy dinner for Valentines.  This year Steve and London were in charge of the menu and cooking.  London chose all the food, and Steve bought and prepared everything she came up with.  We had chicken wings, tater tots, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, olives, and green beans.  Madi was in charge of our drink, which was sherbet ice cream in Sprite.  It was all so delicious and very filling.  It's so great to see the girls imagine and plan what they want, then have them help prepare.  It was truly a special candle-lit night with a dance afterwards.

I always make these for Valentine's Day!  And we always eat way too many.
Mine and the girls Valentine flowers from Steve.  Last year Steve came home with red roses, when I had hinted to him that I wanted white ones.  London was quick to tell him he got the wrong color.  This year he told me beforehand that he would get me white roses, since he missed that hint last year.  I told him I wanted him to look up the meaning of the color of roses and get me what he thought was most fitting.  He came home with red and yellow roses together which symbolize happiness and celebration.  I thought that was very sweet.  Good job hun!
For President's Day we visited the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point.  The girls loved digging in the water and sand for little dinosaurs.
Steve's birthday was February 20th.  He stayed home for the day, and it was action packed.  We met up with Brooklyn's class on their field trip bowling then to Chick Fil A for lunch.  Afterwards we did a little shopping and got Steve a couple new suits.  He looks so handsome in them!  We went to see Big Hero 6 when the girls got home from school.  Then we met up with his parents for a birthday dinner at Los Hermanos, his favorite.
We celebrated with more family that following Sunday at his parent's home.  He requested my home made cherry cheese cake.  Good choice!
 London lost her 6th tooth.
London dressed up at Junie B. Jones for favorite character day at school.  The thrift store glasses made this outfit perfect.

Not to be outdone by her sister, Miss Brooklyn wore this same outfit the next day.  She picked out these clothes when it was time to get ready for school, and she was as pleased as punch wearing them.  Her teacher at school told me Brooklyn was showing off to whoever she could her new digs.  She especially loved that cardigan.  I love that Brooklyn knew she wanted these things too, and wouldn't take no for an answer.

 Crazy hair day!
February 24th we had our ultrasound and were completely shocked to learn we are having A BOY!!!
We are so incredibly excited... and still a bit shocked!

This is my little gender reveal cake I made to share the news with my Beehive class.  They were so excited to see the blue cake inside.  It was fun to celebrate with them.
